Skills@UC Policies
Individuals seeking to enroll in Skills@UC (“learners”) are responsible for all course fees at the time of registration consistent with University policies. While additional fees beyond the course fee are uncommon, they will be clearly stated in the course or program profile as applicable.
Payments are processed online via credit card or Electronic Check (ACH). We accept most major credit cards.
Skills@UC courses and programs are separate from and not included in the tuition and fees for University undergraduate or graduate programs.
Learners are eligible for a refund if a withdrawal request is submitted at least seven (7) calendar days before the course or program start date. Withdrawal requests can be submitted by emailing skills@uc.edu. For some courses, learners may also withdraw directly through the Learner Portal.
Refunds cannot be granted for withdrawal requests received after this deadline. Refunds will be issued in the same manner as the original form of payment.
Some programs may require longer withdrawal notice periods or issue only partial refunds. Any exceptions or additional requirements will be provided on the relevant course or program profile.
Online, self-paced courses are typically not eligible for refunds. For courses with an online component, learners must not have accessed the course content or completed any coursework to qualify for a refund.
Learners may occasionally need to withdraw from a course or program.
Students may withdraw from a course or program at any time, but no refund will be issued for withdrawals that occur less than seven (7) calendar days before the course or program start date. See the Skills@UC Refund Policy for additional information.
Please note that upon withdrawal from a course or program, access to course materials will be canceled, and any non-credit innovative credentials earned will be revoked.
Failing to start a class, stopping attendance, or neglecting to inform the university of your intent to withdraw does not constitute an official withdrawal.
In most cases, course and program registration is non-transferable. In most cases, registration cannot be transferred to another learner, a different session of the same course or program, or a different course or program.
If you are unable to attend a registered course or program, please refer to the Skills@UC Withdrawal Policy for more information.
Discounts may be available for select courses and programs, with details provided on the course or program profile. For some courses and programs, discounts may also be offered for multiple learner enrollments.
For more information about discounts, please contact skills@uc.edu.
Skills@UC courses and programs are non-credit offerings and therefore are not eligible for federal, state, or institutional aid programs.
However, funding support may be available for select courses and programs, based on eligibility requirements and program specifics. Please check individual course and program profiles for details or contact us for more information.
