Workforce Development

The College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies (CCPS) offers custom workforce development programs tailored to your organization’s needs. Our training solutions help build foundational skills that empower individuals to succeed both personally and professionally.

Whether you need a single workshop or a comprehensive program, we will design a solution that fits your timeline and budget. We work with many types of organizations—from employers to community groups—to meet the workforce needs of adults. Partner with us to create a training program that supports your team’s success.

Format and Duration

Our workforce development solutions range from one-hour sessions to year-long programs. Many partners choose eight-week programs that meet for two hours each week, focusing on a single topic, while others opt for stand-alone workshops or extended programs that cover multiple topics.

Most partners choose to offer classes in person at the employer’s or partner’s site. Sessions can also be held online—either live or self-paced—or at a University of Cincinnati campus. Live online classes require participants to have a computer, webcam, internet access, and a distraction-free learning environment.

Pricing varies based on factors such as training hours, curriculum development, materials and support, and topic area.

Topics

Workforce development spans a wide range of topics, from digital literacy to credential preparation. Our team brings dynamic expertise and can adapt content and teaching to meet participants’ needs. While not exhaustive, this list provides potential custom programs:

Our digital literacy programs help your team become comfortable with essential technology. Topics may include computer and internet basics, Microsoft Office and Google Suite, Salesforce for everyday use, and information literacy.
