Register to attend an orientation
UC Aspire enrolls new English learners approximately every 8 weeks. All English learners must attend orientation and testing before starting classes. During orientation, you will:
- Learn about UC Aspire’s English classes.
- Meet UC Aspire instructors and staff.
- Learn about support services such as career navigation and loaner laptops.
- Develop goals.
- Take a placement test to see what you already know.
Prepare for TOEFL with Skills@UC
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers. Designed for internationally trained professionals and students planning to attend university, this Skills@UC course will strengthen the reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills needed to succeed on the TOEFL exam. Participants will gain test-taking strategies, build confidence in English communication, and receive guided practice. Whether your goal is advancing your career or pursuing higher education, this class will help prepare you to take the next step with confidence.
